Logistics AI agent

A team of logistics AI agents, not one chatbot

AI TMS runs eight specialist agents that share one operating picture of your business. They hand work to each other the way your team does — dispatch to visibility to billing — and stop at a human the moment money or safety is on the line.

Key capabilities

AI Agent features

Dispatch agent

Drafts loads from rate confirmations and proposes driver, truck, and route.

Visibility agent

Fuses ELD, GPS, dashcam, and app signals and flags ETA slip early.

Capacity agent

Ranks carriers on lane history and margin, vets authority, tenders in waves.

Compliance agent

Tracks HOS clocks and log anomalies and blocks risky assignments.

Billing & settlement agents

Assemble invoices on delivery and compute driver and carrier pay.

Customer agent

Answers where-is-my-load and drafts exception notes for approval.

How the agents work together

Signals arrive from email, EDI, the API, and telematics. An orchestrator routes each one to the right agent, agents work in parallel and hand off to each other, and anything that needs sign-off pauses at an approval gate. A rate confirmation, for example, goes to the dispatch agent, the planned load is watched by the visibility agent, and the delivered load is picked up by billing and then settlement.

  • Signal → orchestrator → specialist agents → human approval
  • Maintenance agent reads DVIR defects and fault codes and opens repair orders
  • Settlement agent applies deductions and advances before human review

Enterprise controls for every agent

Agents run under roles you define and are bound by the same row-level permissions as your users — never broader. Money, safety, and customer-facing actions pause for a named person, configurable per agent and per account.

  • Scoped permissions per agent
  • Approval gates on money, safety, and customer messages
  • Full audit trail of every input, tool call, and decision with its reasoning
  • Per-agent budgets, concurrency caps, and a one-click stop

Why agents instead of a chatbot

A general chatbot can answer questions about your data. Specialist agents do the work: they draft the load, watch the truck, prepare the invoice, and tell the customer — while your team reviews exceptions instead of doing every step by hand.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a logistics AI agent?

+

Software that carries out a specific logistics job — such as dispatch, tracking, billing, or compliance — on your live data, handing results to other agents or people and asking for approval when required.

Can an agent spend money or message customers on its own?

+

Only if you allow it. Money, safety, and customer-facing actions pause for a named approver by default, configurable per agent and per account.

Can I see why an agent did something?

+

Yes. Every input, tool call, and decision is logged with the agent’s reasoning and can be exported for auditors.
